I am disturbed by the steady erosion of quality local news we have seen in recent years. This further round of cuts, eliminating familiar, respected women who have contributed to the community on and off air, is incomprehensible. Whether or not the allegations of gender bias being debated through social media have any validity, you HAVE chosen to get rid of two strong, positive female role models, not just consummate professionals. I have been watching CTV in Ottawa since I came here to go to school, 20+ years ago, but I will be turning you off. Not least because of the cold way in which this has been handled. After 25+ years, not even a proper retrospective and farewell?!

I am very saddened to hear that Carol Anne Meehan has been layed off, she has been a loyal 27 yr employee I wish her all the best I know she will find another position that will most likely suit her better

Bad decision Bell Media, you keep getting wrong. You destroyed Canada AM so we stopped watching and now going after local stations, guess CTV Ottawa can get switched over to CBC.
