I cannot believe that Bell Media would lay off Carol Anne Meehan. She has done so much for the CTV News, she knows the Ottawa area and goes beyond doing charity work. I think this is a very sad day for so many viewers of CTV who watch news nightly and I personally will no longer be viewing CTV news Ottawa.

Where is the female presence on CTV News Ottawa? Have we turned back the clock on equal opportunities for women. Carol Anne is the voice of CTV News Ottawa. After all that she has given to her community and to her workplace, this is how she is treated. Shame on you Bell Media!

I was so disappointed to here of this news. Carolanne is a big reason why I enjoy the evening news. I think I'll have to change what I watch if she is not on. I think that was the wrong move.

Tonight my television was set to record CBC news, NOT CTV which has always been our "go-to" station. This decision was based solely on the firing of Ms. Meehan. I will continue to boycott CTV news because of this.

I am disgusted with CTV and Bell Media...to lay off Carole Anne Meehan like that...she was the senior anchor there...why was she the one laid off...probably becuz she made more than Graham...I have nothing against Graham but if they have to cut to one anchor it should have been Carole Anne...I for one will not be watching CTV any more...I hope this comes back to bite U in the butt...money hungry CEO's don't care what the viewers think but I think U overstepped Urself this time
