I am disgusted by the actions of Bell Media.
Fyi Bell my phone contract is up in a few months and your recent decisions have put the nail in the coffin of our relationship. I will NEVER buy a Bell product again. You big guys have been allowed to grow too big.

I literally cried when learning of Carol Anne's departure from CTV. I thought at first that it would be rural Ottawa that would miss her most, but I was wrong, the city folks too are bereaving her loss equally and this speaks volumes about her talent. We have not seen the likes of Carol Anne since Max Keeping's tenure with the station. Her dedication to her craft, her station but mostly to her viewers and the communities within the CTV broadcast range, reflects her mentorship with Max and is what resonates so strongly with her viewers.
You could save big bucks by letting go of Justin Trudeau's unofficial campaign crusader, Lisa Laflamme (and Bob Fyfe!). Their bias and open nastiness of our previous government preceding the election was appalling. We were then forced to watch them salivate (using body language as well as words!) over Trudeau's win. I, and many others I have overheard talking, have stopped watching the CTV National because of that. I thought the anchor's job was to report the news, not make it. Like Lloyd Robertson did - he was a class act, still is. How is it that she did not take a page from his book! Laflamme is unprofessional and has the hardened appearance of someone who's been in the business too long. And yet someone as professional, ladylike, UNBIASED and popular with her audience as Carol Anne Meehan gets axed. We're all shaking our heads - PLEASE reconsider. Thank you.

With the retirement of the late, great Max Keeping in March 2010, Meehan provided continuity, comfort and consistency. Charity
Being the face of Ottawa’s dinner newscast put Meehan in a position to become a powerful advocate for the city’s charities. She was a fixture at annual telethons for the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and CHEO, the honorary co-chair of The CN Cycle for CHEO, and lent her name and telegenic charm to numerous initiatives.
Humanity
Meehan’s grace, warmth and dignity became her calling cards. The city mourned with her when she tragically lost her husband, Greg Etue, in 2012. But she used his passing to publicly discuss difficult health issues with rare candor. Her humanity was also on full display during her teary-eyed final newscast with Max Keeping and her tribute to him on CTV after his recent death. Meehan’s on-air loss leaves a gaping hole in Ottawa’s heart.
Loyalty
TV newscasts crave audience loyalty, much as viewers crave an anchor that truly feels like one of them. Meehan was certainly that, and she deserved better. CTV News Ottawa didn’t even give Meehan a chance to say goodbye to her viewers.
The Natural
Meehan always seemed down to earth – a real person in our media age of plasticity and fake, red-carpet smiles. She was an insightful interviewer, and warm, engaging host, and you can’t teach those qualities in journalism school.
Levity
Meehan never took herself too seriously. She didn’t just sit in a chair and preach to the city, she was an active, engaged part of it. And she seemed to enjoy every minute of it.

So sorry that Bell Media has made a decision to let Carol Anne go.So insensitive to someone who has brought so much to CJOH over the years. A real champion since Max Keepings days. I am sure that he would be deeply disappointed in a company that could do this. If this is a canadian business way of dealing with their employees no wonder there is so much depression in people today. A way of life gone wrong for sure.Bring her back.
Bring back Carol Anne and lay of Ms. Cusack as she is nothing more than a camera hog. Not much of an interviewer to much look at me.
