Laying off popular, dedicated journalists like Carole Anne just shows that the parent company cares more about the bottom line than brand loyalty. People watch a particular news broadcast BECAUSE of the on air personalities and their ability to relate to their audience. This is what viewer loyalty is all about. The owners responsible for this decision will have to live with the consequences; most likely a big drop in the ratings. Sorry JJ and Graham but we are signing off with the same notice given Carole Anne (none).

Carol Anne Meehan has been a familiar face in our community for decades! She IS the community. Cannot imagine CJOH without her! She is the ultimate example of professionalism, and dignity. We here in Ottawa have gone through so many wonderful times, and also dark times with her, She is a light and inspiration to so many in our hometown. Letting her go only shows Bell Media's lack of understanding of what viewers want. She is like family. Please give her her job back!

Despicable move on Bell's part and I hope they pay dearly for getting rid of one of the most iconic women in the region. She was part of so many extended families and you just don't mess with family!

I don't think it will do any good to sign this since it did no good when BOB FM was 'disappeared'.
