I am very very upset at Bell Media's decision to lay off Carol Ann Meehan. I watch CTV newa every night and she is one of the reasons. CBC or Global just got a new watcher.

I think that Carol Anne has been with us forever and deserves to stay with us. I don't know who makes these decisions, but I question their thoughts. I prefer Carol Anne to Graham just because she has been on Ottawa TV longer and we all know and love her! Her history should count for something.

CTV will not be the same without her! She is a wonderful anchor women who is caring, thoughtful and well spoken. She should be the one and only news anchor for she has worked hard and gained the trust and love of this community. Graham has been tolerated but will never gain the attention of the Ottawa people. We watched cause we loved Carol Anne and JJ and the beloved Max. Without her I'm tuning into CBS!

She is a great role model & a kind and compassionate spokesperson. She is involved and respected at so many events in Ottawa, as is Carolyn Waldo. CTV is doing a disservice to the community .

I watched CT news due to the professional and friendly delivery given by Carol Anne Meehan and Carolyn Waldo. You have lost me as a viewer.

I met Carol Anne Meehan in 2006 while tagging along with my brothers Beaver troop. Right after her broadcast she gave 10 year old me an autograph and was kind enough to chat with me even though she had 1000 other things to do!! I remember her telling me that "I can do anything" and it was so special to me! Nobody had told me that before, not even my parents. Once I went home I called every neighbour I knew to tell them we had met. I'm so heartbroken that this has happened, she has been such an active and AMAZING person for Ottawa. My heart hurts for her, she doesn't deserve to be treated like that!

Sad to see a 27 year enployee that has gave you dedicated service just tossed like garbage, you should be shamed of yourselves. Also don't let the big wig let it slip on his big bonus they get after saving all this money!! As this is what will happen to the big guy/gal while these ones worry about tomorrow's bills. Hope you get your job back, and I would like to thank you for your service. As well as the other employees on air and off. Watched every night during supper. But this will soon change!
