I have heard of a lot of wacky business decisions but laying off Carol Ann Meehan makes no sense to me. If you need to make cuts then start at the bottom...not the top.

CTV news has lost my family's viewership. We'll be watching either CBC or the French local news from now on. Keep Carol Ann and send Graham back to Toronto where he seems to prefer it anyway.

IF lay-offs have to occur, those with less seniority should lose their jobs. Carol Anne Meehan has both seniority and skill --- she deserves to keep her job.

My family is in utter shock! Carol Anne Meehan makes CTV News Ottawa at 6pm! We have watched it especially because of HER! She feels like part of our daily lives! I could hardly eat my supper tonight. She is so professional yet brings warmth to so often hard to listen to bad news. And one of the few ladies who still dress professionally and not like going to a Friday night party...
I cannot swallow this one! This CANNOT be! Ottawa will never be the same............ :'(

She has been in my home since she started at this station and we shared a story while our husbands were going through cancer treatments.
