Carol Anne Meehan is an irreplaceable member of Ottawa's news landscape. I cannot begin to wonder what the news would be like without her. I seriously hope you consider the quality and expertise she has delivered over the years rather than company greed and replacing her with a cheaper replacement and think that the viewers won't switch channels. We can get the news from the internet you know, Carol Anne made it "real" for us... Don't take that away from this fine city.

This is just another pathetic attempt of big business to screw over the public just to make more money for themselves. I started watching when I moved here from Quebec at the age of 8 to see Max Keeping every evening at 6 and then Carol Anne. No offense but Graham has never and will never be the one to capture my attention as both Max and Carol Anne have. They both always brought life and warmth to the news and now that is gone. Shame on CTV News and Bell Media, SHAME.

CJOH is nothing with out Carol Ann. Max is gone Carol Ann filled his shoes perfectly. She is a beautiful women.

What a shocker...all the community work Carol has done and been there for 27 years and Richardson joined after her...they need to reinstate her and let the ones go that haven't been there long senority should play a role in this bring her back she will be missed...

Yes we consider them family cause we watch the CTV (NOT CBC) LOCAL NEWS, EVERY EVENING AND NIGHT..

Carol Anne has brought a warm human side to the news for many years. The interplay between her and Graham Richardson is part of what makes the news fun to watch. Carol Anne had been a tireless contributor to charity work as a tv personality. This is a heartless way to treat a longtime professional and much-loved employee. I will be switching to CBC news. This is a very short- sighted move to save a few dollars but will lead to a loss of viewers. I will be asking my broker to sell any shares I have in Bell Media and will not be buying any more. I will not invest in a company that does not treat its employees with compassion and respect.
Carol Anne has been on ctv since I was a young lad she does not deserve this she should be able to Finnish until she wants to Retire. I will no longer be supporting CTV unless you honor her job back.
