Letting Carle Anne go is not going to save Bell any money. If anything it will cost them in the long run. You don't save money by parting with your most valuable asset. Ask Peter Pocklington how it worked out for him when he traded away Gretzky. They also lost a lot of their fan base but most importantly, they lost their credibility.

Real classy Bell! No doubt the people who made this decision work in some office building no where near Ottawa and have no idea how much Carol Anne is loved here. Once again with Bell, it's all about the "bottom" line.
I read an article last night that Bell Media made a profit of somewhere around $189 million--yet that's not enough-they have to fire well loved media personal!!! Talk about greed!

I will miss Carol Anne and hope to see her reinstated. You can see how much support she has! BUT the worst part is the way she was dismissed and treated. I will stop watching CTV if this is not rectified. She deserves a appreciative and respectful send-off for her many contributions if there's a good reason for making a change.

AN ILL-ADVISED DECISION THAT HAS COST YOU MANY A SUPPORTER OF CTV. IF YOU CANNOT CONNECT ORIDENTIFY WITH THE PERSONALITY THEN THERE REALLY IS NO REASON TO WATCH THIS STATION OVER ANY OTHER ONE. DISGRACEFUL.

I think you do not get it. Carol Anne was around before you hired Richard Graham and why did she go and not him? Also, people watch the news because of her and when she goes so to will many loyal followers of CTV news as to will stand for nothing principle wise.

Carol Anne Meehan was my favorite anchor and my mothers as well. i have such sweet memories of watching the news with my mom and watching Carol.

Carol Anne Meehan is the calm steady force you need leading the news. Graham Richardson can't get thru one story without stumbling over his lines.
