Very sad situation with the huge following she had, along with Carolyn Waldo. Carol Anne was the face of CTV News at 6 and, Carolyn Waldo, after so many years, not even being able to say goodbye is reprehensible. I will not be watching in future.

Shame on Bell Media. Carol Anne deserves more than this. Kind and caring woman, she is one of our main reasons for watching CTVOttawa. The other reason we watch is Carolyn Waldo.

I am horrified and dismayed, why Carol Anne? Perhaps the execs at Bell Media should take salary decreases to help with this, supposedly, shortfall.

Three on air FEMALE personalities gone. Carol Anne Meehan was was Ottawa needed. I assume she cost too much. Is that right???

I think it is a shame they laid her off. She does a great job, she is trusting, loyal, dedicated, a real person and always bring a smile to your face.

Bell Media's decision was WRONG WRONG WRONG !!!! Carol Anne has brought a real hometown, valley, atmosphere to the news - as did Max when he was here. Letting her go will change the whole face of the news - and I daresay - many faithful viewers will leave as well !!
