You are dealing with well known and appreciate people here.
It looks like money is your only goal.
You are firing two women (Caroline Waldo also); not good for your compagny's record.

She is one of the reason I watched CTV news. She as always presented the news in a professional way and made us women feel included by sharing the woman's views .

I suppose this "efficiency" move means that we in Ottawa are going to get even more Toronto news shoved at us.

You don't get rid so easily of Fantastic CTV Ottawa News Anchor.

She was the warmth delivering the mostly terrible news of the day. The younger reporters can not even come close to her professionalism.

Max must be rolling in his grave that his much loved CJOH/CTV has become a victim of the bean counters who have no concern for what their audiences hold dearly and the dedication of their employees to their viewers and community. Shame on you Bell Media.

Poor Bell Media. They only made $ 183,000,000.00 in their last quarter. This is a good example of greed over loyality to valuable staff and loyal customers. Give Carol Anne Meehan her job back Bell Media or your boss the viewers of the Ottawa Region will switch the channel.

Incredibly heartless when someone with 27 years of wonderful service to her community can be treated this way. I will no longer be watching CTV news. Richardson has the personality of a robot..just what Bell Media wants.

For years watching the nightly news has been a staple for almost every family living in Ottawa. Even while at our cottage in the Gatineau Hills, receiving only 3 English channels (Global, CJOH/CTV, and CBC), I can remember watching Carol Anne and Max give the news. I cannot believe that Bell Media would make such a decision to can such an icon as Carol Anne Meehan.

It's ridiculous that Carol Anne was let go. Not only should she be reinstated, but her salary should be higher than Graham Richardson to reflect her seniority,

Carol Anne Meehan is an important and valued media representative. This decision smacks of ageism and sexism. Please rescind this heartless decision, BellMedia. It is not reflective of what Ottawa wants.

Carol Anne is one of the most compassionate reports CTV had. We watched CJOH news for years, and the disrespect they have shown a long term employee is not tolerable. We have noticed plenty of younger reporters still employed.
We have now stopped watching and changed our channel to another news cast CBC. If and when Carol Anne returns we will switch back.
