When today's news is so disheartening, it is nice to know that Carol Ann can soften the blow with her insight and sympathy. If she is not rehired, I will no longer watch the news on CTV. I am 68 years old, and looked forward to welcoming her to my living room for many, many years. It is a shame, a widow with two children, shame on BellMedia.

This is absolutely ridiculous!!! Completely unjust have some respect for your loyal employees... If it's money your trying to save stop paying your Upper management so much and giving them bonus and perks. She did a great job this is unjust!!!

I wondered why Carol Anne did not take over for Max Keeping when he left, everybody loved watching the two of them. Nothing against Graham Richardson but Carol Anne is the one we want!

A personable and trustworthy anchor, mentor to young journalists and a community leader who like Max was everywhere for charitable causes! Bell Media --Why do you think The News at 6:00 was number one in this marketplace.???

It's unfortunate the decision was made in this way.
While Bell Media is a business, and wants to continue to increase their profits, there is also the community and public relations value that you can't put a price on. The decision made to save a few bucks can (and probably will) cost them more in loss of revenue when their valuable and longtime customers switch over to their competition for personal and business needs.
If this is how they respect and value their employees, guess I'm going to have to reconsider how I value their own service and start shopping elsewhere.
