Way to go, CTV! how disgusting that you would let her go. She is obviously the better anchor, and her ties to the area are so strong, the local community identifies with her.

Bell Media values the young new-minted employees. Afterall, they cost much less than more experienced journalists who have given so much to their employers. This is another example of a corporation who values only the bottom line and not the value of dedicated employees.

Shame on you CTV and Bell!!! Where is your loyalty? Carol Ann IS the evening news. What would Max think?! This needs to be rectified. I myself will not be watching ctv news anymore and think that many more of your loyal viewers will do the same. How could you!

I am 38 years old and I watch CTV news Ottawa most of my life. It not right to remove some one that been apart of the community and give us facts and care.

As a result of Bell's $ based value system the life of a well-loved employee has been severely disrupted. They will pay a price in loss of viewership and their telephone, TV and internet services.

This woman has been in everyone's livingroom for decades, I grew up to her and Max Keeping. Max is in a better place but there is no way in hell does Carol Anne Meehan deserve this hell. She deserves the respect of her employer like the respect of the city of Ottawa people give her. Money should not be the issue here. I no longer live in Ottawa but I'm outraged at this news. Bell Media you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I am currently 17 years of age and a my family has always watched CTV news. Carol Anne has always been staple in our family home and it would be a detriment to have to let her go.

She is the only reason I watched CJOH /CTV's supper news. Her news presentation was comfortable and my wife and I related to that. Bell media is getting a bad name.

I am absolutely floored to hear the Caril Anne has been dropped by CTV.
She is one of the reasons I watch the news. Always feels like she talks & feels for us all . Please reconsider .
This is totally not what we need at anytime let alone now . Just when you need people like her to help with what is in the news right now. .
