She is an ottawa icon, and represented the best qualities in what our city is all about. Bring her back because without her CJOH news has lost a quality worth much more than the few dollars Bell will save.

Let me guess...The decisions were made by people in Toronto or Montreal. Obviously no regard for the opinion of local viewers.

While I agree that Carole Anne's extensive experience and devoted service to the community are factors in retaining her as the anchor of the evening news, my main reason is that she does the best job. So, for the moment, CBC it is.

We need Carol Anne back! It was a mistake to take our local icon away - money does not run the world - people do. Switching to CBC will come easy now.

What a smack in the face for Carol Anne, and for us the viewers.

Carol Anne is a class act who does so much for our community. I can't imagine the charitable telethons without her. I agree with so many - shame on you Bell Media for the way this was handled. Without Carol Anne on the evening news, I'll be switching channels

I'm a long time viewer of the CTV 6 p.m. news with Carol Anne. She helped to keep it local and relevant for local people: a touch of humanity. Recently it has disappointed and become less relevant. With Carol Ann's departure I will no longer be watching.

I fail to understand why Carol Anne Meehan has been fired from her position at CTV Ottawa. Please reconsider your decision and let her stay as an News Anchor in Ottawa.
