I can't believe this happened. Ms. Meehan has been one of the only reasons I continued to watch CTV news after Max Keeping's departure.

Carol Anne should be offered an apology and a new more senior role. The tactless action of CTV in this termination reflects poor management and a disregard for the local audience that will leave negative sentiment for CTV in the long term.

carol anne meehan is the reason why i watch the ctv ottawa 6pm newscast. i've always found her warm and friendly and over the years have developed a crush on this lovely lady.

Thank you for providing a means to somehow support a member of our tv family Carol Anne Meehan. My heart goes out to this great lady who has gone through so many trials recently. Seeing her daily we admired her courage and resilience when she lost her husband and later Max. How CRUEL Bell Media!! Whoever made this decision obviously does not know her remarkable talents, credibility, uniqueness and how much she is loved!! And to put Carol Anne in this position with her coworkers - how insensitive. Stay strong Carol Anne...God never gives us more than we can handle but sometimes He pushes it!

It's not fair to lay off someone who's been around since 1999 and yet keep her co-anchor who's only been there since 2010.

guess 27 years of dedicated service means nothing to Bell Media, 187 million in profit last year was just not enough for them. Time to find a different station.

It was the wrong decision to cut Carol Anne, not to mention Carolyn Waldo and so many others. Time to rethink Bell Media!
