Ruthless and cowardly act by money hungry large corporation. Total disregard for loyalty and decency. Shame on you Bell Media.

I suspect it is not to do with gender, but the fact Carol Anne is no longer thirty years of age. Bell should consider an experienced woman as an essential part of the team

The monopolies keep getting richer off the backs of the little guy. Bring Carol Anne back. She made the news what it is today. Big mistake Bell.

Carol Anne Meehan is our local trusted TV journalist and an exemplary pillar of our community. She deserves to be reinstated as a show of good faith and respect for her dedication. Max Keeping would not have been impressed.

Carole Anne is loved by many & did her job well. Was she laid off because she is a female? Certainly looks that way.

I can only say what so many people have said about this lady and how she has been such a wonderful asset to our community.
It is unconscionable that Bell Media would terminate her after such a long and exemplary career.

Very disappointed in what has happened. I want to understand how this can happen to an amazing and dedicated person. I will not accept this and if Carol Ann Mehan does not return, my tv will not be on at 6pm! I am shocked and so very sad and especially how rude the way it was done, 27 years and it's an announcement that she is gone!!!! I hope to see her back ASAP! Our family supports you CarolAnn!

Carole Ann was always one of the main reasons for watching CTV news...not only is it the only local Ottawa and region news but Carol Ann gave it the valley flavour so many of us tuned in for. Thanks for nothing Bell Media!!!

I am in total shock over this! Why on earth would you let Carol Anne go. The news will never be as good without her. She is Ottawa's sweetheart. Really do your homework before cutting. My goodness.
Very sad always women get the boot first.....
