The decision to "lay off" Carol Anne has been ill considered. Like Max Keeping, Carol Anne is a part of the social fabric of Ottawa and all that is good about it.

This women has been the face of our news for years. We identify with her, we feel her sorrow, her joy, her everything. To force her out of a job that she so rightfully deserves is disgusting..Bell Media should be ashamed and stop thinking of themselves but rather about their viewing audience.

All about the money. Fire a single widow with 2 kids after 26 years of service with no chance to say goodbye to her loyal viewers. Stay classy Bell Media.

We are very unhappy with this decision and will miss you!! Business decisions do not have to be mean spirited and callous. Because of the recent lay-offs of long time employees, Carol Anne Meehan and Carolyn Waldo we will not be supporting or watching C.T.V. These people have come to be family for those of us in Eastern Ontario. We do not watch "netflix" or anything other than local shows but we will take this one off the list. GREED seems to be pervasive and humanity lost. Good luck to both of you and any others caught in the ultimate quest for the almighty dollar.

We have always enjoyed listening to Carol Anne Meehan. She has been a wonderful anchor but Bell Media doesn't seem to understand that. or care about the people from the Ottawa area who are watching.
If she leaves,
then it is time to watch CKWS instead of CTV for local news.
