Carol Anne has become part of our lives during the evening news hour. I don't understand how Bell Media can sign her off after 27 years of dedication.

Big Corporate Powers forget the reason why they bought CTV and CFRA in the first place. I'm assuming that they give not a whit about local communities and the people like Carol Anne Meehan who not only fulfills her duties as anchor of their broadcasts but gives back so much to the community with her time. She follows in the footsteps of her long time colleague, the late Max Keeping. You can only number crunch so much until the product you have is like the quality of the waste effluence going into the St. Lawrence in Montreal.

We have grieved with her, we should of at least had a chance to say good bye....she is in our homes, part of our lives and now will be missed because of bell media and their $ goals...not what their viewers want!

Carol Anne Meehan is the best anchor there is! After so many years of faithful service to CTV and to Ottawa, it is shameful to let her go! Otherwise, I will go to another channel for my news!
