Wow, this is very sad for Carol Anne Meehan...she is a great woman, and community leader, who should be treated better than this. I know how she feels, a similar situation happened to me. It is down-right aweful to deal with personally, and with her family. We are her family, and this hurts us that Bell Media is doing this to Carol Anne Meehan. Please reconsider your decision. She is a very important person in our community. This is sad that there was no consideration for this wonderful person, who has been through great tragedy in the recent past...give this woman a break...BRING CAROL ANNE BACK TO CTV NEWS.

Bell Media is making a mistake. Carol Anne Meehan is the face of our local news. She truly cares about what is happening in our city and this comes through in her connection with the viewer. 27 years with CTV! Bell Media should be ashamed.

The dismissal of Carol Anne as anchor from a position she has held and carried out admirably for 26 years is nothing short of absurd. Like many our household is officially turned off and will turn off the news at 6 with a very heavy heart. This is a most ridiculous decision and for all the wrong reasons. Who did Bell think helped them to get to be #1, whoever made this termination decision will not be surprised to see that #1 drop like a lead balloon.

Carol Anne should not have been part of the budget cutbacks. She represented much more than just an anchor to CTV. This is not a good PR move. You can change it if you have the will.
