I can only presume that budgets must be really getting squeezed if it became necessary to eliminate the salary for a popular co-anchor.
Sounds like a decision made in Toronto.

You are over staffed in your morning show. Get rid of some of them and keep the people who we watch.

Reinstate Carol Anne Meehan, a fixture on CTV News Ottawa and a pillar of our community and supporter/cheerleader for many charitable causes.

After 27 years with CTV this is how you treat your employee. Carol Anne has been part of our family every night st 6pm. What Carol Anne has done for our community is amazing. I will not be watching CTV news again and today have cancelled all my services with Bell, home phone, cable,Internet and 4 cell plans. No way will I support any company that treats their employees as you have done with Carol Anne Meehan.

It would be so wrong to let Carol Ann go. I've grown up with her. It wouldn't feel like Ottawa news without her.

Inexcusable! After all the charity work this person has done for this community. Bell's actions are reprehensible.

How low can Bell media go. There is no reason for this. And I've read that they made a profit, shame on Bell I will watch my news from now on CBC.
