I have stopped watching CTV news. Could not help but notice the preponderance of women laid off. I will cancel my Bell subscriptions as soon as my contract expires.

Shameful decision. Bell Media got it all wrong. Plenty of other staff who should have been considered for layoff before Carol Anne. She is the 6:00 pm broadcast. I will certainly be reconsidering which station I tune into.

I am extremely angry that you have chosen to fire Carol Anne Meehan. She has been and is a trusted person in Ottawa. I question the rationale of throwing Carol Anne away, with her experience, seniority and the respect that she has brought to CJOH. This decision smacks of ageism and gender issues in Bell Media management. This company does not have my respect for this and many other reasons.

i have stopped bell satelite after 13 years and will never watch ctv news again. also will not buy products advertised on their news show.
