Support CTV Ottawa News Anchor Carol Anne Meehan

Enjoyed Listening to Carol Anne Meehan on CTV Ottawa news. Excellent news anchor.

Extremely unjust and not taking in account the community

This is absolutely disgraceful. Carol Meehan and the others are valued employees and not dispensable. They are the faces that we associate our news team with. A part if you will " of our family". Rethink this decision and make a clear and fair give her job back to her. Theresa Blakely Madoc, Ont

I think it's pretty sad that, in this day and age, we still choose men as a symbol of authority. Meehan is an integral part of this community, and she should be the one to share the news with us, as she had for decades.

Not cool CTV!

Unless Carol Anne is reinstated I will no longer watch the CTV News.

I cannot believe that the CTV can fire Carol Anne after 28 years. She has known so much tragity in the last few years and is a single parent. How cold blooded and unfeeling. She was a talented and warm personality that brought a smile to many faces. CTV will no longer be our choice for the 6 o'clock news.

Shame on you Bell Media...Carol Anne is well respected and has done so much for Ottawa. She has personally also had to endure much grief these past few years, and for you it is all about $'s; no thought to how well she has represented Bell Media.

Please bring Meehan back. We love her!

I loved it when i saw her on the news she is loved by all. Firing her is cruel not just to her but to the community as well!

Wrong choice CTV.

This is a perfect example of how we have become a "throw away" society. We need to treasure our jewels and local influential talent. Carol Anne is an icon in Ottawa and has been as long as I have lived in the nation's capital. Shame on you Bell media, I won't be watching CTV news, period.

The community needs her back!!

Carol Anne is the face of Ottawa on CTV Ottawa. She one of the reasons the news is number one in the Ottawa area. Once again Bell Media doesn't get it.

Stupid move Bell Media!

You can't layoff one of the faces of Ottawa!

Shame on Bell Media for letting this happen the way it did, also the way you announced it to your viewers, all of what, a 45 second news story!...Carol Anne, know that you will always be our National Capital Treasure...

Carol Anne is my favourite news person.

I have no idea why Carol Anne Meehan was let go after so many years. She has the personality and can take a joke and is great doing a news cast. Please Keep Carol Anne Meehan

I love Carol Anne Meehan when she was on the news, I want her back!
