We moved to Ottawa in 1985 & Carol Ann & Max were our favourites. The sad loss of Max to cancer & now a poor decision from Bell Media to cut Carol Ann. Not even allowing her to say goodbye!! Terrible.

Shame on Bell media for doing this in the name of profit. We have enjoyed watching Carol Anne every single evening for so many years. It won't be the same without her smiling face. This may be enough to make me watch CBC news. Or just not support any companies who advertise on CTV news.

Carol Anne has done a fine job, is totally connected to our community and is engaged with local activities, events and charities. There are others who are not as connected and yet remain untouched. What were they thinking at the Bell Media head office? Disgraceful.

Carol Anne gives the news a very personal, warm, caring and friendly touch which is very refreshing given the news that is sometimes reported these days. She should be an important asset to CTV.

Bell, why have you dismissed a respected and talented anchor?
And, why is it the female you fired? Shame on you!

Absolutely a disgrace to even consider laying off Carol Anne. She's been the face of Ottawa news for decades throughout the good and the bad. I will not be watching CTV going forward if she is not reinstated.

I DEMAND Carol Anne Meehan and Carolyn Waldo back on CJOH Ottawa news. Carol Anne embodies Ottawa and Ottawa Valley viewers. I am disgusted at Bell's actions.
