Loved Carol Ann! She is, in my view, the "valley" reference for CTV Ottawa, and she's a great news anchor. Max would be appauled at this ill-advised decision!

Have not watched CTV news since Carol Anne was fired. And not planning to in the future. This was such a poor decision by some twit in Toronto who does not understand the Ottawa Valley. Shame on Bell Media

I have never been one to publically voice my opinions, but after almost 2 weeks I still find myself quite upset how this was handled by Bell media. I have not watched our local CTV news since and I hope many others follow.

You wouldn't believe how ticked off I am at hearing the news that Carol Anne has been laid off. Carol Anne to the CJOH news, is like a hotdog to a bun. I like stability, and in this ever changing world Carol Anne was that. Next to Max. Graham does not invoke any of those special feelings. I went on vacation for two weeks and came back to this news!! I couldn't believe it! Such valued members of your team deserve better. I think that your decision will have a great and negative effect on your news station and on the city of Ottawa as a whole.

We arrived from BC in Ottawa nine years ago. Didn't know a soul. Turned on the tv and there was Carol Anne. We listed, rapt attention, and felt immediately home. Her honesty, character, compassion, her unchecked tears, her full laughter ... She has always been so real and so generous of spirit. I'm done with CTV Ottawa Nrews until this travesty is corrected.

CTV if you don't reinstate Ms. Meehan you are going to lose a lot of your viewers for laying off the face of your news cast on your 6pm news Carol Anne means the world to a lot of people and you will never hear the end of it if you don't rehire her back to being the news anchor .
