Such sad news to hear. Carol Anne was the only way to watch and feel like I was still back home in Ottawa. Bad moves when the mucky mucks who sit in high salaried offices, makes bad decisions. The cuts should be made from the top where the money is wasted, not the people who have been there through it all with us. Carol Anne and even Ms Waldo should not have been cut. I live in Washington State now for the last 8 years but still was able to watch the news online. Is there really a need to now? The loss of Max was a hard hit to take, taking away the other half of what made the news so well loved is just too much. Until she is brought back, I will not subscribe to CTV news online anymore.

Bad move!!! I live in Sarnia now but have watched Carol Anne and Max for many years. She is a pleasant and very knowledgeable person. BRING HER BACK!!!

Omg the best person on the news station and you lay her off ??? Wow people you are really going to lose ratings over this one ,shame on you Max Keeping would be totally disgusted with you.I really am in shock.It was hard to adjust when Max left now you go and do this well I am done I will be watching CBC ,As for you Carol Anne my family and I are real sorry for what has been done to you we will miss you !!!!

I was shocked and quite frankly, disgusted, at the decision to cut Meehan. Viewers connect with the reliable faces that bring them news, and it's not like Ottaws hasn't lost enough with Keeping's passing this year. Media mogul Bell knows better.
Aside from that, though, is the total lack of compassion. This woman is the sole provider of two kids after losing her husband in a very sad, sudden, and public manner. In spite of that, Carol-Anne still had the grace and resolve to forge on. How nice to know what 27 years of servitude gets you - a pink slip.
I knew I left your services many years ago for a reason, Bell. Now I know I was right.

As a CJOH viewer from Montreal for many many years, I definitely know that Carol Anne has helped to shape the Ottawa community and I really hope she continues to do so and soon!
