She is a pillar of the community and not just a talking head. By being cold, insensitive and greedy, Bell is showing its true colours. It is not pretty. Do the right thing and bring her back.

What a shame that carol Ann has been dumped..and Carolyn Waldo as well. This is an unjust way to treat someone who has been with the co. For years. Always loved Lisa laflamme but she showed her politics when she gushed over her interviews with Justin ( and his mother...my goodness...she was so effusive...was sickening and gushy..not appropriate for a journalist. Replace Lisa with Carol Ann!!!! I wish carol Ann and Carolyn nothing but huge success in their future careers.

I will no longer be watching CTV news, because of Carol Anne Meehan has been a professionl dedicated news anchor for CTV and this is the THANKS she gets from her employers SHAME.

Carol Anne is one of the reasons I keep tuning into CTV news. She's one of the only "old timers" still there. Whose next to go, JJ Clarke?
When her husband passed away, all of us grieved with her. We waited her return. We were excited when she came back because we genuinely were concern for her while she was away. You could feel her absence.
Unless this is something that she herself has asked for and said, "pick me, I don't mind being laid off, I'm ready for retirement", then please give her, her job back. It's a low blow that you would even lay off such a staple of CTV. It's quite disgusting actually. I can think of so many worse new anchors you have.

Carol Anne is a newsperson with a lot of class. Her employer s are fools to let her go. If they value their customers at all they may want to reconsider this action.

I'm sad for the many lay-offs at Bell Media in Ottawa. Losing Carol-Anne is like losing a family member we've had in our homes for supper every night for 27 years. It's surprising, and very difficult for her community to not even say goodbye. Why was she so surprised about this lay-off? Why wasn't she prepared by her superiors to say goodbye in the best way possible? Someone at Bell Media is not doing a good job at this very delicate task they have. And it has affected an entire city. Not too bright in my opinion.

Carol Anne is Ottawa! We want her back!
It seems to me that Bell media has focused specifically on removing their best and brightest and is it a coincidence that many are women or visible minorities? Shame!
