I have stopped watching CTV since Tuesday. Just saw Carol Anne at the Kanata Santa Clause parade on Saturday. Very sad news, please bring her back....

May Bell Media executives some day understand the pain they have caused this woman who dedicated her life to her bosses. And may they someday accept the fact that sometimes the bottom line is NOT the bottom line. The decisions they made on Tuesday were an affront to us. Never, ever underestimate the viewers of this area. We are more powerful than they will ever know. Shame on all of you.

Like Graham okay but without Carol Ann as part of team and CBC on at same time, will no longer prefer CTV news over CBC. Will just watch whatever channel happens to be on at the time.

Carol Ann Meehan has been the reason we watch CTV news at 6 for years. She was the one anchor who was felt to be connecting with the viewer. We all love her. You have lost and will lose many viewers and clients over this. Shame on you Bell Media

I cannot and will not accept this style of cuts. Bell expressed it is difficult to part ways. Well for the loyal viewers this is yet another massive loss we are expected to accept. Where is your decency? Your callus decision has had a horrendous ripple effect on the thousands of families in the Ottawa Valley. Although I am not an immediate member of Carol Anne's family, she, Max JJ, And the CTV news team have been extended members of my family's daily life.
The least you could have done was to treat her with dignity and respect. You did not even offer her closure!
Unacceptable. I refuse to condone this style of business structuring.
