Shameful treatment by Bell Media of a respected Ottawa icon. If CTV doesn't rehire her - CBC wake up and have her co-anchor with Lucy upon her return from treatment - further plummeting CTV news ratings.

I first watched you when I moved to Ottawa for university and i feel like I kinda up grew up with you. I am so sorry that they let you go. You seem to be handling it with so much grace despite the callous way the network handled your layoff. You will be missed.

I have been a loyal viewer of CTV Ottawa, formerly CJOH, for many years so I was surprised and saddened by your departure. Your pleasant manner and professional demeanour was a highlight of the regular broadcast.
I mean no disrespect to your other anchor and reporter colleagues, but you are and will remain missed. Thank you for your years of loyalty and service to the community. You are truly a class act.

Made the wrong choice laying her off. I grew up with my parents having the 6 p.m news on with her. I'm 38 and I still watched her. Shame on you!
