SHE is one of the BEST anchorwomen on air. Such discrimination . Poor Max must be so hurt that CTV is doing this grave injustice. I hope CTV comes back to its senses .

A sign of our times....quality and experience cost more so ...bottom line is everything. ...for shame.. I hope Carol Anne understands how much the community appreciated her quality. I can see CBC and Global benefitting from this decision.

Not sure she would ever want to return to a company that could do this in the first place. But I think they owe her a public apology and send off similar to Max's, she has been every bit as much part of the community.

I was very surprised when Carol Ann did not succeed Max when he retired as anchor; now I absolutely abhor Bell's decision to lay her off - and in such a callous manner! Shameful!

This callous behaviour is beyond words. What a nasty, cowardly way to treat someone who has done such wonderful work for our community. Bell Media will regret this decision. I am no longer interested in the 6 o'clock news nor anything else CTV has to offer.

This is terrible father all those years, loyal to her job. Can't even offer a proper retirement but a LAY OFF!!!! Someone doesn't have guts. No even a proper goodbye to all the country people from all over the world!!!!!

Carol Anne is so much more than just a "talking head" on the CTV Ottawa news. She is a leader in the community, and her care and compassion shine forth with every newscast. Bell Media -- you can not treat well-respected people this way and maintain any degree of credibility with the viewing audience. I have stopped watching CTV News at 6 because of your decision.
