Have the executives of Bell forgotten that we are in the 21 century; I cannot believe you have gone back to the good old boys evening news.

If they wanted to cut the team in half, they chose the wrong half. I will not watch the show now.

While it was clear that the two anchors did not have any semblance of a rapport, waiting until Mr. Keeping died to fire Ms Meehan is despicable. This move will alienate your considerable female audience and threatens the value of your role in the greater community.

You guys have to listen to the customer! I and all my family have boycotted the CTV news ever since. Watch your ratings drop like a rock. You are no longer the number 1 watched newscast. So dreadfully sad!

Been following Carol since day 1. Message to the "genius" that made the decision to let her go: You should have fired yourself. Carol will be missed, you on the other hand, won't!

The news needs both a man & womans point of view, she brought her own style and compassion, to the days events no matter what it was.

A boycott of al lcompanies and organizations who advertise on CJOH and by extention CTV would alert Bell Media in the only way this corporation can understand that the people of Ottawa are unhappy with the removal of Ms. Carol Anne Meehan and others in Ottawa. A shameful business.

I think it is outrageous that Carol Anne Meehan has been let go. I was in shock when I put on the news to find out that she was gone, she wasn't even given the opportunity to say good bye to her viewers. Obviously no job is safe these days. She was well liked by everyone. We need her back on the air and soon!!!

It is shameful that CTV Ottawa would let go well-respected, long-serving female newsanchors. It hints of a combination of ageism and sexism.

Carol Anne Meehan has been a constant with the CTV Ottawa evening news for 27 years. Her commitment to the station and news professionalism cannot be questioned, unlike the Bell Media's class-less action to remove her without warning or regard for her viewers.

It's a sad, sad day when the almighty $$ means more than a community leader. Stop the insanity!
