Change Borough ordinance to allow Backyard Chickens

I believe you have the right to have chicken s if you are protesting and taking proper care. Especially if you own your own house

I am more concerned about the over populated cats. Seems that the homeless cats (due to irresponsible people) are doing damage to property. However if there was a proper ordinance that held a person responsible for the vet care on these cats that they feed and supply outdoor shelter for, there might not be a problem, after all doesn't it or shouldn't that fall under ownership. I am an animal lover and the cat problem is a human problem. Before you allow chickens fix the cat problem, tighten the regulations on cats, leave no room for loop holes. Then by all means allow responsible people to own these (cats, chickens,dogs) animals.

We just moved here and had always hoped to have a few chickens, i was very sad to hear they are not allowed. For such a country setting seems like an odd law.

So glad you're doing this! I got permission from a previous Borough Manager to have our chickens, but the ordinance never changed on the books.
