Elementary aged students don’t think about sex unless they see it or have been introduced to the topic by adults. Children are extremely impressionable and at this age, they do not need this type of material in direct access. Not because I don’t want them to see it at all, but because I believe they are still too young to see it at this age. I think having the books in the counseling office is a great place for them to be utilized.

In wholeheartedly support this effort and pray that our city and region will not adopt the practices of other regions. I don’t want my children being fed confusing messages, especially in places where I’m not with them to help give them understanding. Thank you for caring.

Confusion is not a virtue. Yet, it’s treated as such and is lauded as the greatest expression of freedom and truth to our youth. If these books must be in our school system, at least place them in responsible hands.

Education is paid for by parents (and grandparents) taxes. We own the system and the government. No one has the right to decide the information given to our children without consent of the parents. And no one has the right to decide who a child is except God.
