These topics are important and timely but should be addressed and introduced first by parents. This is an example of the educational system intentionally overstepping and furthering a specific viewpoint.

Please leave topics like this to parents to discuss with their children. Indoctrination should not be included in education.

This is absurd and disgraceful. Shame on WWS for trying to “sneak,” these agendas into our schools.

I honestly don’t feel it is the school counselors’ place to ever discuss this topic with my children. That is my job as a parent.

Books like these are inappropriate in a class room/public school setting. First, not only is it my responsibility to teach social issues to my children there is no real curriculum and becomes opinion based teaching. Second, are teachers prepared to answer questions on the spot when they come up? Teachers can remain examples of kindness, acceptance and love. If there is a child with questions a counselor can be brought in to answer questions and educate, not books that are misleading and confusing. If a child falls behind in reading, for example, they pull him aside to give the extra academic attention not make it an issue for the whole class. Let our children have their innocence!
