This program is the Pinnacle of success at WKU, no other program is more winning of conference titles and all americans. The students hold good grade point averages and are very involved in the community. To cut this program by 50% to give the money to football and basketball related agendas that still do not make any money and are for the most part losing programs is unfair and quite insane.

Such a successful program so be fair and make the cuts all the same.

Being given a full ride scholarship to WKU and able to continue my track career at a D1 level I was able to rise above every obstacle and stereotype coming from my hometown St.Louis, MO. I now have a bachelors degree, friends for a lifetime, and a education. That cannot be taken away from me. Please think about our present student athletes and future accomplishments Former Lady Topper 2008-2012

Please evaluate the success rate of your programs over the years and see where track ranks.

Track is just as important of a sport as football and basketball so the track team deserves to be equal to the other sports

I am a current track & field student-athlete at the University of Louisville and I would like to commend the WKU Track & Field program on their consistent success and competitive spirit on both the national and conference levels. It would be devastating for this program to be subjected to budget cuts that will heavily affect the program.

Being a former hammer thrower at Vincennes University, I find this calling by the Western Kentucky Athletic Director to be ridiculous. How about people like you and others take a PAY cut so current and future track and field athletes don't suffer because you're too greedy.

As a former collegiate track and field athlete I know exactly what a great track program can do for the athletes as students and idividuals. WKU's track program does not need to be penalized for the mishandling of funds by others.

We can not afford to cut another athletic program for student athletes at WKU! I played baseball at WKU and sports are a major part of student life and for recruiting students to WKU! We are too focused on Football and Basketball when it comes to sports $$$, keep cutting and you will see enrollment continue to drop!

My brother was on the Hilltopper team long ago. I'm now a college cross-country and track and field coach. We've got to support our own.

How in the world can this happen? Would this happen to the football or basketball team? Let's just start cutting teams that don't make the university premium Money, is that what is going on? I participated in Football and track from 2000-2005. The university has grown and spent millions on construction projects yet this is happening. In business a 50% cut is unrealistic. Maybe 25%. Come on WKU, do the right thing here and reevaluate the numbers and create a better plan. This is way to extreme.

Tighten your belts in other places! Every state and all university's are having budget issue's, but this is not a area to cut!
