This bill is the architectural equivalent of the cheapest, most vile version of the Wild West. It should be vetoed.

The regulatory power we would be stripping from our neighborhoods and cities have given us quality places that create real property value for our cities. We need to set a higher bar for building standards not lower the bar!

This bill will poorly effect the strong cities that have fought to keep their cities looking good for hundreds of years and will now allow an easier path for cities to set low building standards. This should be controlled at a local level where the local citizens elect representation.

This will not help home prices. If you want to help home affordability, improve our taxes!

This bill eliminates the ability of any City to have a place design. Tax payers have invested significant amounts of tax dollars over the years to ensure that property values are protected. Most builders and developers will build to minimum standards, period. Removing building standards will encourage metal buildings in high end communities, lack of aesthetically pleasing homes, and an overall downgrade for our communities. Please veto this bill.

Please veto HB2439, this bill will limit local governments ability to control the construction standards.

Masonry ordinances make for a stronger, more beautiful home. This bill will make neighborhoods of the future look like a flammable, post apocalyptic nightmare.

Remove restrictions one at a time. Next thing you know we will have no codes and no standards. Welcome to a new landscape with no control.

This bill undermines local authorities ability to decide how their cities/municipalities to look.

HB2439 is a bad bill, taking control of community construction standards from local communities. In the long run it will lower the tax base of homes in Texas. I urge you to veto HB2429.

Please veto HB2439. This bill takes Texas to the lowest possible construction standards as determined by the IBC. I don't want to live in a state where we settle for the lowest standards. That's never been our vision. Texas never does the bare minimum for its citizens. Why would we start now? This is a bad bill for Texas...and when you realize it's a bad bill, it will be too late!!!

I believe it would be a travesty if this bill were to pass. Communities need the ability to regulate what and how a structure is to be built in their community.

Building standards should be left to the local municipalities and not be regulated by Big Government. Please veto and allow our cities to chose what products or practices that are utilized.
