Preservation of soccer among all Ulster University campuses.

This course of action can only reduce overall student participation. How can this be a good idea? Student sport has suffered in recent years and mechanisms need to be found to increase participation across all sports. This appears shortsighted.

I was a member of the UUC football team and would hate to see tbis happen!!

Must not happen, and makes no sense. Will mean fewer students are exposed to top class football and the magic of Colly. Somethings afoot, big boys club? Elitism?

UUC have been stalwarts of Collingwood Cup football. I remember travelling to Coleraine to compete in a Collingwood cup in 1994 as a player and subsequently as a manager in 2006. Drs Tom Stark & Michale Willis shoudl be highly commended for all their work in facilitating soccer in UUC and promoting UUC nationwide. Teams from UUC always represnted the institution with prided and with the utmost sportsmannship.Similarly Magee have earned widespread respect and admiration for their efforst in hosting and competing in the Collingwoood Cup.I fully support the campaign to keep soccer at all University of Ulster Campuses.

Ulster University have to re-think their decision, it seems they have no reason to not allow Magee or Coleraine Campuses to enter into Intervarsity games.

Sad when you've played in great teams albeit some time ago. Can't help but wonder about the apathy angle these days and the fact that without Micky driving everything forward with boundless enthusiasm would the appetite be there? You're a true diehard mate. Best of luck

I is vitally important that students attending UUC are afforded the same opportunities as any other students at any other campus. UU Coleraine actively take part in the Coleraineand District League each weeks, first team and reserves. Well done to Coleraine for breaking the mould, over to the university authorities

Campus universities are finding it difficult to sustain sports teams already as students do not spend the time on campus they once did. Anything that hastens this process is bad for the culture, community and identity of the Coleraine campus. It is perfectly possible to have a strong UU identity and a Coleraine campus identity, and a vibrant football team/club with wider profile should be part of that process. Don't end high profile student football at Coleraine
