We, the undersigned residents of the University of Saskatchewan, recognize our need for the establishment of a dedicated representative body to promote our interests, and ensure our concerns are heard and addressed. Currently there is no dedicated body addressing the shared concerns of University of Saskatchewan residents.

Therefore, your petitioners call upon the University of Saskatchewan administration under The University of Saskatchewan Act, 1995 to recognize the University of Saskatchewan Residents’ Union (USRU) as the organized and consolidated will of University of Saskatchewan residents. The USRU will be an autonomous entity, answerable to residents and the governing bodies of the University of Saskatchewan. In order to facilitate the consolidated will of University of Saskatchewan residents we will require of the residents a ten-dollar annual association due.
