University of Georgia Against Segregation

According to the New York Post’s story, Hunter Biden in 2015 introduced his Father, then VP in the Obama Administration, to a Top Exec Vadym Pozharskyi at Ukrainian Burisma Holdings Ltd after Hunter joined the company’s board which was Paying him up to $83,000 a Month. The insinuation is that Hunter Successfully Influenced his Father to Pressure Ukraine Government officials “into Firing the Prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was Investigating Corruption against Burisma. Facebook and Twitter took action to limit distribution (censored) the New York Post story citing Emails purportedly Revealing Evidence of Influence-Peddling by Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden. The Emails were obtained from a Laptop which had a sticker from the Beau Biden Foundation, and had been Abandoned at Computer-Repair Shop, named “The Mac Shop” in Wilmington, Delaware and owned by John Paul Mac Isaac, who then reported the laptop’s contents to authorities which determined that the laptop and hard drive contain fruits of criminal activity. Joe Biden and his family engaged in "Legal Corruption" despite claims of no wrongdoing and the Liberal Main Stream Media Refuses to Talk and will never Report about Hunter Biden’s laptop and emails, fearing Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden will Lose the 2020 Election if this information is exposed to the American People. This is evidence that Joe Biden participated in his Family’s CASH-for-Influence Scheme with Shady Foreign Companies. The American People should be demanding that the Media investigate this scandal before they VOTE, but we know, the Media will never report on Hunter Biden’s emails because it would be harmful to Joe Biden.

Equal is equal. What more need be said? Please free our state from anti-immigrant discrimination against youth born or brought to the USA from violent and gender based hatreds; and to free them from lands of the drug lords created during the Reagan and Bush administrations. Please, Freedom is Freedom. If we give into anti-American legislation then we lose what has made ours a great nation. My own family was brought here in the early 1700s by the British when they wanted indentured servant labor by the Irish. My family was fortunate in being able to escape this servitude and settled from Tucker to Athens, Georgia. Equal is Equal. We are not a nation of hate. If we give into the National Socialists disguised as GOP then we have lost our land, our dignity and our standing as THE symbol of freedom for the world. This is not to say let everybody in, we have better immigration policy than half the civilized nations of the world. We MUST show our humanity, our hope and our love for our fellow men, women and children who have migrated here to escape certain torture and death. Thank you and may the words of Jesus Christ settle into your minds, "I give you a new commandment, it is to LOVE one another as I have loved you." Do you profess Christianity or do you hide behind the GOP label as National Socialists, fascist for those lacking civics education; do you worship at the feet of the atheist, hateful Ayn Rand, or are you an American? The answer and the actions are simple. Hope, faith and love. Nothing is possible without Hope.

It is unconscionable that a public University, dedicated to the education of all Georgians, turn away applicants who are well-qualified in academic accomplishments on the basis of their parents decision to bring them here to Georgia from another country. There is no such thing as an " illegal child" ! The Board of Regents' political decision cannot be justified and should be ignored by morally sensitive tax-supported Georgia Universities. The Georgia General Assembly appropriates less than 40% of the University budget. It has no right to dictate University academic admission policies.

As an educator in Athens, GA, I have seen the ways in which this ban affects my students and families directly. This ban denies students who spend their entire K-12 education in Athens, with UGA in their backyard, visiting the campus and being used by UGA's professors and staff for their research benefit, the right to study here. It is hypocritical and discriminatory. Lift the ban now!

This law punishes young people who had no choice, but to do as their parents willed. Many of these families are fleeing gang violence in Mexico and Central America, so they should be given protective status. Address the problems that are driving them here rather than passing and enforcing discriminatory laws.

I'm an alumni.

Undocumented children are de facto Georgians because they grew and studied in Georgia. Many of them do not even speak the language of their parents. For common sense justice, undocumented students should be eligible to study at UGA. Many bright young people do not continue their education (and thus their talent is wasted) in Georgia or move to other more student-friendly and migrant-friendly states to go to college.

Equity.

This is 2016. Let us incorporate values that exalt equality and inclusion. Think about the fact that these are PEOPLE. How would you feel if these individuals and others who face discrimination were your family members. STOP DISCRIMINATORY ACTS! Those are the real crimes!

Education is for everyone!

Stop the institutional discrimination- we need more diversity at UGA NOW!

Let's let people advance based on their merits, not their race or immigration status. We are all children of immigrants in this country.

I'm a UGA alumni and I support equality in education for ALL - including non-documented Georgia high school graduates.

In addition to everything stated in the letter, the families of these students have paid taxes (sales; property directly or via in their rent; income) that go into the state coffers just like everyone else. I moved to the state for graduate education, and by the second year I already had in-state status. Does that make sense?

Article 2 (first and second part) of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) should be enough to justify this petition...

President Morehead, I'm ashamed to have to tell people I graduated from a university that excludes people based on their place of birth. I can assure you that you won't be receiving any donations from me as long as this discrimination continues.

President Morehead, do the right thing, speak out against this discriminatory policy. Education not segregation!

Let's give all the students who graduate from our GA high schools the same chance to go to UGA and other state schools.
