This is by far one of the stupidest ideas that I have come across. The purpose of the university is to learn and study, not relax and make friends. I personally use this space to study, it is quiet, there are PLENTY of tables and chairs for students to use to study. If we replace this area with furniture, it would be just one more place for kids to sit around and talk to each other which would distract others like myself from studying. The people making decisions at this university are so dim witted it isn't funny. How about you all put this money into scholarships so others can have the same shot I had at an education rather than spending it on furniture. I know one thing, I am glad I am graduating because I can no longer take the stupidity at this university. Seriously the person who put forth this idea is a jackass who knows nothing about what is means to study and be dedicated to something. The only reason I am signing this petition is so others can see my comment and my voice can be heard!
