Cha-change! Cha-change! With Mr. Hopper going into his 2nd year as principal ofGulf Middle School, there are a whirlwind of changes coming this school year. One of those changes involves the dress code which will require students to wear shirts that do not expose their collarbones in any way whatsoever. This new policy knocks out nearly everyshirt option that most female students (and also many boys) have & requires students to wear 'crew-neck shirts'. Most students - not just the female portion of the student body, but also many males- do not have shirts in thishard-to-find stylewhich thenforces parents to spend more money on the shirts that abide by the dress code and not as much on school supplies, therefore lessening student education.

The enforcement of the dress code has also been unfair to girls in the past couple of years. Girls are given dress code violations more than boys are in similar situations & it is often enforced more upon thegirls than it is boys (for example, girls get dress code when they wear pants slightly above the knee, but when the opposite sex wears pants a good inch or two above the knee, they hardly ever get dress code). So it's safe to assume that the school staff will be discriminatory over this policy as well.

So what do you think? Collarbone-to-collarbone? How about collarbone-to-collarNO?
