The administration is finally taking notice because of your steady pressure. Post this link on your Facebook page today to keep the momentum moving toward an organic garden. Email your representative on the school board right now to demand a cafeteria that rejects styrofoam.

Aviva, I appreciate your concern. This petition is designed to raise awareness for the students at JDS, and possibly create some change within the administration. I will be starting an environmental club next year and do plan on actively taking the steps myself to make JDS a green school.
Petitioning won't do much (if anything) to sway the administration, someone use social action minyan or environmental club as time to come up with a plan of action listing specific changes that need to be made in the school and how you think we can accomplish them. Present that to the administration and see what they say, they may or may not support it. If your sole means of change is petitioning then nothing will get done. That's just the way JDS works.

Styrofoam needs to go asap. it is so gross that we are still using that stuff in the cafeteria in 2016.
