On April 16, 2018, DSHS Commissioner John Hellerstedt may make a decision to adopt a new protocol (laid out in an open letter) to ban hemp-CBD sales. The proposed protocol states that products containing more than trace amounts of hemp-CBD, a non-psychoactive compound derived from hemp, will be removed from store shelves and either returned to the manufacturer or destroyed.

Not only is this detrimental to the thousands of Texans benefiting from hemp-CBD to treat their ailments, but this is a significant blow to the companies that have invested millions of dollars into their hemp-CBD businesses in the state.

OPPIDAN WELLNESS INC. invites Texans to take a stand on the matter by signing onto an open letter in support of keeping hemp-CBD on the shelves of our stores and to show the Texas government that this is something that people are watching.
