Take a stand...support our children...improve the educational system.

I didn't attend EHS but I have heard of the injustices, harassment, bullying, and just to put it out there bull cap that has been going on there for years! If the name of this "educator" can make it to surrounding schools and towns for being unprofessional then it's time to change a few things around before there's lawsuits filed or anything else happens.

Mr.Lewis and Mr.Fox are two of the biggest jokes in the education system. Neither should be permitted to work in a school again.

Fox, made his way to his current postion on the backs of the kids, he was quick to judge!

I went to the highschool for 3 years. I did make mistakes but i changes my junior year. Since i had made mistakes in the past they searched me every 2 weeks saying they had suspicious word every 2 weeks. The pricibals are always in everyones buisness instead of caring for the highschoolers education. I ended up moving school senior year because i couldnt stand being pushed around by the principals

I believe that the high school and the Jr high both have issues. The way they discipline really sucks. They suspend way too much. I think their positions just go to their heads. Unit 40 needs to change! This crap about paying to get a cell phone back is absolutely stupid. Plus they shouldn't have any rights to hold the cell phone. Sometimes the child needs the phone to keep in touch with parents after school and for emergency. Also when any student is sexually harassing another student this shouldn't be just looked over. Bullying is a very big thing at unit 40!!!! And when someone steals things out of a locker this should be a crime and should be investigated. Unit 40 school system needs HELP!

The reason I quit football and ultimately dropped out in 05 was due to bullying by this "educator". Hope this petition does the trick .

In my opinion Cody Lewis is a lying pervert. Mr. Fox also furthers those lies. I would like to know how the money was spent from parking and phone extortion money. It's against the law to take someone's property and then demand money to get it back. Don't want to pay?? You don't get your property back. Extortion of the parents property, not the students. Lewis.....HAS TO GO! FOX ALSO!

Lewis is a liar and stalker. He lies to parents and students to justify punishing or extorting money by taking phones. He also signs up as girls and boys on Facebook to spy on the students. That is just like a pervert. What is his real motive? He is not a student advocate. He did harass and lie to my kids also. He lied to my face also. He and Fox should be fired. Effingham Schools are the worst place to put your child. They prefer to expell a student based on lies rather than educate and teach.

I was personally bullied and/ or watching others be bullied for a majority of my time within the Unit 40 district. My first recollection of bullying goes back to the third grade. I woke up and got ready for school for years thinking about how I would be judged based upon what I picked. If I picked the wrong piece of clothing, then I would be messed with in every class all day. I walked into every classroom knowing who would be messed with in each and every class. I had people in my classes who would be messed with for everything about themselves every single class hour, every single day.I never spoke up about this until my senior year. My senior year, I had a class that came back from an assembly about the first student shot at Columbine and laughed about signing an anti-bullying poster. After this, I had a special needs student in my study hall class. The bullies for that class decided to mess with this student. This was the final straw for me. I broke down in one of my classes and went to one of my teachers. My teacher took me to the counselor's office. After days and a Facebook post by my mother about the situation, I finally got to speak with Mr. Lewis and Mr. Fox. Long story short, the bully (who has well connected parents within the community) got a minimal slap on the wrist. I told Mr. Lewis about other bullies and other major incidents, and I was told that they knew they had a bullying problem and not to expect miracles overnight. I was also given a coupon for the cafeteria and told not to tell anyone what I had spoken with him about. I was majorly depressed for a majority of my senior year. This occurred more than four years ago. They clearly still have a problem. They have previously admitted to knowing about this problem, and they have done nothing to solve this problem. If nothing positive ends up coming out of this petition, it will be sad. However, Liz, I do not personally know you, but I would like to say that you are an amazingly courageous person.

I see a lot of people complaining about the school board members. This is something you can change. Register to vote, get informed, and vote for candidates that will help make the changes you are wanting.

Both Fox and Lewis are worthless!!! Unit 40 needs reformed the way these kids are treated!!

I attended my freshman year of high school here. I had permission to have my phone out at lunch to text my mother. I had severe panic attacks and then I would black out. I was dragged into the office by a coach who then put one hand on the wall on each side of my face. Was inches away from my face and screamed at me even after I handed over my phone. I was then kept out of class the rest of the day. I also caught my science teacher walking down the hallway calling students worthless, ignorant, and stupid. I was told when having a panic attack by a guidance counselor to "get thicker skin....you are just wanting attention." Yes because I can make myself black out on command... I'm so frustrated with how the deal with issues at this school. Thank god I only spent a year at the high school.

The administration takes problems out on students they don't care for. Like this whole situation with people getting blamed for Foxes mailbox. Well maybe if he gota P.O. box he wouldn't have this problem. And they take it out on students unfairly. It's pathetic
