For the 2014/2015 timetable GEMS Bolitho School will be attempting to delay buses on Tuesday and Thursday to 5:30, the reason for this being "to encourage students to become more active in extra curricular activities."
The school by the given plans will be starting 15 minutes earlier than it currently does (new time 8:30). As well as removing the afternoon break to extend lunch break by 30 minutes.
On top of this excellence programs and ALPs are also to be given the axe and removed from the timetable completely.
Though this will greatly be to the benefit and even music to the ears of parents whom hours extend past the period of 4PM. There is an old and famous saying of "If it's not broken then do not fix it." And could be of irritance to the majority of students and staff.
