Keep Dundee Safe - Stop the Farnam Street Roundabouts (Victory by unanimous vote!)

I use 50th and 52nd on a regular basis. The street lights work just fine. Why would we change some thing that is working for a roundabout. Doing so especially in rush-hour traffic will only slow down the process of trying to get across.

I moved from Pasadena calif where there was a round about. I was almost hit numerous times in that one. It also slowed down fire trucks. That is harmful when seconds matter. Undoubtedly these cost lives.

My brother lost his front teeth in the 60's due to this one way! Go to downtown every day. Was also smashed into once. Round about is not for this area. If we thought about SLOWING traffic then why has this been a ONE way for 60 years. Had NM cars pass me EVERY day traveling 40 to 45 mph!

My wife and I both drive threw 50 th & Farnam I wood hate a round about there . We travel 42 & Q st round about you take your life in your hands driving that one you have to many that don’t understand how to drive threw it.

Not safe for pedestrians. More expense not needed to make two way traffic safer.

Test 2-way all day long before committing to roundabouts

Unnecessary requirement and expense. The area is too confined for aproper roundabout design and two is outright ridiculous. Negatives include more dangerous pedestrian crossings, restricted emergency vehicle access, more difficult snow removal, and unsuitable aesthetic quality.

No more roundabouts.

Roundabouts would be very confusing and dangerous for the many adults and children who walk this intersection every day.

I support the sound reasoning in this petition. Though I live in West Omaha, I drive south on 52nd St from Dodge to Leavenworth once a week, and west on Farnam from 50th to Dodge once per week.

Two way. All day. Everyday. That’s all.

A roundabout is the absolutely worse idea for that area. Rush hour traffic will be horrendous and bottlenecked.

I am against the roundabouts.

Please make Farnam 2-way every day all day. Please.

The roundabout won’t be as safe for children and older adults trying to cross the street.

Seems a lot of the people on this petition do not live Dundee proper and have not real dog in the race. Remember this petition was started by those who are directly on the intersection for the proposed roundabout. I know it sucks they are losing property and it will impact them during construction. But we need to think about the overall safety of the neighborhood and the data that supports that safety.
