Haydon School prides itself on being "committed to individual excellence in a caring community", and already does fantastic broad spectrum work in order to maintain a pleasant habitat for learning. Coming out as anything in High school can be daunting, and the one thing I would say is missing at Haydon is a targeted support group for those dealing with identity issues- or individuals who fall under the LGBTQIA* umbrella. The idea of this petition is to covey to the Senior Leadership team at Haydon that there is a demand for a dedicated network of support, run by students, some of whom will have gone through similar things themselves, but all will be accepting and caring to any individual wishing to speak to a friendly face. Please aid this attempt at getting 'Spectrum' up and running by signing this petition to show your support.
