This would be an extremely wonderful option for people who move around the globe as diplomats or military members every 2 to 3 years.

I absolutely second this initiative. We should start allowing people with trained animals to travel safely on flights.

This is a good idea if they don't hike the price for this service, a little fee maybe!

As a dog owner I've experienced having to leave my small dog for three months, or place her in the baggage section. She was 1/2" too tall to fit under the seat in a soft sided travel bag! Traumatic for both my dog and myself! I'm sure it's worse for large dogs who are traumatized in baggage section,or even worse, in cargo! Please consider how many pet owners would travel more if their pets could travel next to them.

This would be such a big help to everyone traveling with pets. For those of us who work overseas and move every few years, it would be so huge to be able to keep our furry family with us. Airlines will also benefit from the extra fees and brand loyalty customers will feel. These pet sections will be in high demand.

Because the pets we have are, quite simply, like members of our family, I support the idea behind this petition and am signing in hopes that airlines will consider it and find a way to accommodate us and our pets in the near future. Thank you!

We are Australians in mid 60s stuck in London awaiting a quarantine spot for our almost 13yr old Lhasa Apso, running out of money, DFAT registered since last Sept, stressed out so badly

I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars in the last few years on moving with my pets, only for them to be in cargo and their safety unknown until we were able to pick them up. I would much rather have them in the cabin with us.

I run an animal rescue group in Naples Italy. We primarily adopt to military and NATO (and civilians associated with) families in Italy, Germany and the UK. We also help provide information on moving from country to country. It is heartbreaking how many pets end up abandoned or rehomed because travel arraignments can not be found or afforded. Yes, more people do need to work on their budget planning and yes, sadly, there will likely always be people that abandon their pets, but, more options to safely transport pets would be welcomed!
