Love this idea. My husband has severe allergies and so I wondered why persons traveling with animals shouldn’t sit in a certain section. Seems this is a good solution.

I travel with my well behaved smaller dog as an esa. We travel between the US and Peru multiple times a year as government employees and leaving our pet in one country or the other is not an option as she is a member of our family. She is too large for me to pay for her to be in cabin but flying below in cargo would be very detrimental to her emotional health - a fact that has been validated by our veterinarian. I would appreciate airlines being open to allowing well behaved pets to fly with their owners in cabin, where owners are responsible for the pet and willing to accept forfeiture of ticket if their pet does not behave. Even for a fee, I believe this is a reasonable and humane compromise.

I think that airlines may need additional help setting parameters and requirements for eligibility of each individual dog to fly. As a certified overnight pet sitter I know that I have my requirements like that the dog must be up-to-date on applicable shots, and other related things. In other words, the airlines does have the right set policies and procedures to make it a safe and positive experience for all involved. I would be willing to help research such things.

This is very important. I would be willing to pay whatever it takes for such a flight.
The one flight I did with my dog as cargo was so traumatic that it left behavioural change for months following.

I believe that we should humanly travel with our deepest companions anywhere in the world. I hate that I can’t put him on a plane because of the conditions. Please allow for change! Thank you!
