On September 2, 2020, The greatest NY Mets player of all time, The Franchise Tom Seaver passed away. The NY Mets are wearing a "41" patch honoring his memory for the rest of the season. We as Mets fans are asking that they also continue to wear this patch in the memory of The Franchise in 2021. The Mets might need a bit of a nudge to make this happen and by you signing this petition it just might.

I started this simply because Tom Seaver deserves to be remembered by the team he built. Seeing how many of you feel the same way has been completely overwhelming and I am just humbled to be a small part of this effort.

I truly never imagined that so many people would join me in wanting to honor Tom Seaver this way. It is humbling to see how much this means to all of us who grew up watching him represent the orange and blue. This kind of response belongs entirely to you and your devotion to the Franchise.

The Mets should be wearing #41 patch for at least another season to honor Tom Seaver.
The right thing to do and we can enjoy next year when we again get to be there in person.
Agree, with abbreviated season, and he was the Franchise, he deserves honor of full year of remembering...
Greatest Mets player ever. My favorite player also wanted to be him while playing in my childhood.
Tom Seaver WAS the New York Mets. His patch should be worn for all of the 2021 season as well.
