We, the residents of Breaston and surrounding areas, call upon HS2 Ltd to scrap proposals to relocate the East Midlands HS2 Hub from its preferred site at Toton to an alternative site at Breaston.
We believe that locating the Hub at Breaston would have a severe negative impact on the local community, and find it totally unacceptable to build on Greenbelt land that surrounds the village.
We need to protect the status of our village by the inevitable congestion the Hub would cause

I don't live in the area, but oppose HS2 in terms of a wider national concern. It's a very expensive "vanity project". Instead, the money would be better spent; on improving local infrastructures throughout Britain. (Such as bus networks, trams, road surfaces and so on). In addition, large areas of countryside will be ruined; near many HS2 routes.

It would devastate out village but would regenerate Toton - It's a no brainer
