These proposals will only serve to push people away from this state and detract from those considering moving here. Enough already. We need to focus on making CT affordable and attracting business.

In Stamford a $300k assessment qualifies as a garage. State control of zoning would not be welcome. Possibly great for developers and builders but not for residents.

Strongly oppose this bill which will drive even more of us out of the State. Mismanaged counties/towns should do better than push a “beg thy neighbor” policy. It’s un-american.

I am opposed to both of these bills. They will negatively impact the State and our Locality. Mill rates are high enough in this state and I strongly encourage you to leave Zoning issues to the Town(s) discretion. Void these proposed bills, SB171 and SB1024

More taxes? Didn't you CT Dems get your bailout for mismanagement in the phony 1.9T "Covid" bill.
Leave zoning regulations to the local authorities. You're never happy unless your regulating every aspect of political and economic life according to your ideologies.

My husband and I are vehemently opposed to all attempts by the state to take over local zoning. Wilton is a town with centuries of history and natural beauty. Let's not increase density and ruin the character of our community. We are a biracial family and have owned a home here for 25 years.
